Our 2-part introductory lead climbing class is designed to safely transition you from top rope climbing to lead climbing. You'll master essential techniques and safety protocols under expert instruction.

Prerequisites

Before enrolling, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Current Top Rope Belay Certification
  • Ability to climb 5.10b or higher
  • Recommended: 1 year of top rope climbing experience

Safe Lead Falls

Master proper body positioning and techniques to take safe, controlled falls while lead climbing. Build confidence in the equipment and your belayer.

Soft Catch Provision

48+ hours cancellation notice required for full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may be forfeited.

After completing this course, you'll be ready to take the Lead Belay and Climbing Test (taken separately) to earn your lead certification.
